Actually, a draft &quot;Description Set Profile&quot; is under development at [1].

The diagram in Section 3 shows how a Description Set Profile fits
into the context of what the DC community sees as an Application Profile
(the light yellow boxes) -- a set of documentation about an application
including functional requirements, domain model, description set profile,
and guidelines.

For an example application profile, see [2].  Clicking on [3] extracts
the Description Set Profile embedded in the wiki syntax and expresses
it in XML.
