I am so glad to know that you got to listen to Shivkumar Sharma. As far as Indian classical music is concerned, Ravi Shankar is just the “tip of the iceberg”. There are so much to Indian music that it takes a lifetime to explore it.

I heard Shivkumar Sharma for the first time in late ’80s and that made a very deep impact on me. To the extent that I went on to buy ALL of his albums, more than 100 so far! Got to know him personally as well… His music is a feast to the human soul.
